I need a script, probably java or perl, to enable Mal’s e-Commerce to provide multiple discounts across a whole category. In other words, if a customer buys more from this page http://9n5.com/products/parentact/parentact-test.htm - the unit price goes down. Mal’s does discounts well with one product, as it does at http://9n5.com/products/Powerstrips/powerstrips.htm. I need the script to be able to COMBINE products for the proper discount in the whole category. I tried to turn the input quantity at each line into both a string and a quantity. The string would become part of the [description] and the quantity would be summarized with the other quantities in the group and would become the total, [qty29] Qty29, or some other variable, should refresh in real time to reflect the running quantity. The description on Mal’s secure page must have a string including all of the descriptions and would have a line break after each item. An example of a description in a typical order would look like this:

Helpful resources:
This page is useful, but the output on the shopping cart that the customer sees is not formatted well. http://babycottonbottoms.com/pocketdiaperpackages.html There no line break or in the description line and comas appear even if no item is selected.
