Description

I need a php script that will scrape a vbulletin forum and output the data to a text file, with each thread separated by a pipe (|). The script will scrape the Thread title, the 'Last Post' date/time, and the first page of each individual thread. I will be able to specify in the script the number of pages to scrape in the main 'Service Plays' forum. For example, if you go to the URL below, and I tell the script to scrape the first 3 pages (I do not want the 'Sticky' threads to be scraped), it will go to each thread, scrape the title of the thread, the Last post date/time, and each post on the first page of that thread, then move to page 2 of that thread, then page 3. Read below for more detailed data.

1. The script will go to http://forum.sbrforum.com/service-plays/
2. For example, as of right now, the first post is titled 'RatedPicks.com 4/19', with the Last Post data as 'Today 01:21 AM'. The script will go to http://forum.sbrforum.com/service-plays/172931-ratedpicks-com-4-19-a.html, which is the thread URL for that post, and would scrape each post (just the actual post is needed, not any other data on the page). So, for this example, the script would output the following data to a text file:

RatedPicks.com 4/19
NBA - (paid plays)
LA Lakers - 11.5
Orlando Magic -9
*BP*Miami Heat +5 (small lean towards the ML)
Denver Nuggets -6

MLB - (paid plays)
Chicago White Sox +145
Oakland A's +105
Cleveland Indians +200

Twitter- (free Plays)
D'Backs+105
Magic/76ers OVER 190.5
|
Thanks again!
|
Lets ride that wave ooowwwww
|
thanks, and lets cash
|
Good luck everybody!!!

GO LAKERS
|
is 12 or 12 and 1/2 still good for the Lakers? Also, is 9 1/2 or 10 still ok for Magic?? I can't buy points. Thanks in advance and thanks for the AWESOME picks!!
|
Anyone else want to punch that gay looking yankee fan in the neck? Crowe would have had that or at least a good shot had it not been for that cock-magnet
|
looks like its gonna be a rough day for us
|
lakers squeaked by, I had them at -12. Hopefully the rest of the NBA games will come through as usual. NBA is saving them, their baseball is subpar right now, surely they will turn it around.
|
ALERT:

San Francisco pitcher Randy Johnson hasn´t allowed a hit against Arizona through six innings.
|
****ing Orlando certainly know how to blow it. Cock included.
|
Why buy it if you can get it for free here..?? 500 bucks is too expensive for a bunch of words on the screen.

anyways, payingthejuice will post it religiously every day, am i right??

payingthejuice, i was checking your spreadsheet and found that most winning picks tends have a higher win/risk amount than losing ones. i figure you might have some special ability to detect winners so higher amount can be placed on those picks. i don't know how you did it, but you did it!!
|
i went 2-2 in NBA. litlle loss, but will grab cash today
|
Bad day for them but you cant win everyday like they been doing
|
3. Then the script will go to the next post, and scrape the data, and append it to the end of the same text file, and will continue scraping threads/posts until it has reached the end of the specified number of pages.
