Description

I have a mysql database of many companies. In addition, I have list of 5,000 companies with spellings that differ slightly from those names in the database. I want a query to find all the companies in the database that have similar spellings to those on the list.

a normal like %company name" select works fine, but i don't want to do this 5,000 times. I need a script that will do this select in an automated way against all 5,000 company names on the list. Ideally the script would have me load the list to a folder and return another file with all the companies from the database that may be possiblities.

The winning bidder will describe enough of their approach so that i am confident that they are very good at mysql and have a good approach.
