| Hi, i'm sure i can do your work. I'll tell you about my work related to scrapers, if you're interested you can contact me sending a private message. I developed statstud.com working for a company with a team of developers I lead. in a first look you won't notice anything interesting. The fact is that I developed by myself a webscraper for each sport. The scrapers have to scrape data from about 1000 teams each team has 2 stats to take in separate pages (overall stats and game by game stats) and game by game stats lead the scraper to about 35 more urls per team so in summary 1000 teams =1000 overall stats urls + 1000 game by game stats *35 sub urls= 36000 urls each time a scraper per sport is executed, also the database we are using for this site has about 160.000 hitters and 80.000 pitchers, all of them extracted automatically by the scraper. at this moment i'm re writing some part of the code because i'm setting it up to run as a background procces in a dedicated server in order not to consume resources where the site is located, and making mysql connections between both databases. Recently I also made a scraper to extract stats from alexa.com (25.000 pages) that scraper also includes a hack to pass the security anti scrapers and and anti copy-paste methods. if you're interested just let me know by PM Thanks! | |||||||
