Description

I require some changes to an illustration website.
(please pm me if you would like to view the site prior to bidding)

The site is to be programmed in PHP, and will have a MySQL backend.
The bulk of the work is detailed below.
I will be on hand to help at any stage. Constant communication is crucial to this project, so will require winning bidder to be available on MSN / Skype IM

So to summarize, the work involves:
Creation of MySQL database to hold page information
Pages created to display and edit data
will need a secured login area for admin section
I will provide all current files for the site, to use as design etc...
Please show me some similar work you have done.
Copy paste bidders will be ignored (don’t copy paste a standard bit of text about yourself into your proposal! I want to hear something a bit different...)

I would ideally like you to develop the site, and host it on your own server (so i can test etc...) , until complete, and before escrow is released etc..

Portfolio Page:

Display thumbnails, with data retrieved from database (will provide database schema diagram to winning bidder)
Will set this up as “paging” so will display 25 (configurable) to a page, and have the rest appear on pages, ordered by item order, specified in admin section.
When clicking on a portfolio thumbnail, a popup window opens, with details about that piece, again, all data to be held in MySQL database.

Books (2005 Onwards) Page:

Same idea as portfolio display  list of thumbnails (organised by year) then, when clicking on one, a popup window opens with further details.
Will need separate table for these, as different details are stored.

Admin Pages

Login Screen

Self explanatory.
Need a "remind me of password" link.... very simple, just enable user to enter email address, and have PW sent to them.

Home Screen
• Can edit number of pages for books
• Can edit number of pages for portfolio items
• Can add / change admin users (only need Name, Email Address, and Password fields, nothing fancy – will login using email address & password)

Portfolio Admin
Page to Create / Edit Portfolio Items
Page has following Fields:

- Image (auto creates thumbnail image)
- Title (client)
- Year
- Info
- Order (just a number – lower numbers, means ordered first)

When save button is clicked, the Image field needs to be uploaded, and a thumbnail for that image auto-generated.

Book Admin
Create / Edit Book Item
Page has following Fields:

- Cover Image (auto creates thumbnail image)
- Interior Image (auto creates thumbnail image) – will have 4 of these.
- Title
- Publisher
- Website
- Author
- ISBN
- Year
- Order (just a number – lower numbers, means ordered first)
