Description

I require an update to be made to an ecommerce site running on an x-cart template.

Problem: When a customer without a membership or that is not signed in, selects an item and goes to checkout, no shipping charge is displayed because there is no post code to calculate the cost with.

I require the addition of a text box and pull down menu option in the checkout page. Users can enter their 4 digit postcode into the text box. And users can select a country using the pull down menu.

If a user enters a postcode or selects a country, then the shipping calculator should calculate and show the according postage price in the checkout. There should be the text "Check Postage" with the arrow button picture, on the left of the text box and menu, that when clicked recalcuates the postage price.

By default, the post code "2000" and country "Australia", should be selected.

I would like the development of this added feature to be done on a testing site when I can test the new features before having them go live on the site.
