Description

We need a central place to control the inventory and provide customer service for sales from different channels: mainly Amazon and our own website shop: www.allcam.biz/catalog (powered by osCommerce).

This project involves collect the order details from the Amazon order confirmation emails, then records these orders into the osCommerce system, so that all orders from Amazon marketplace/zShop can be processed in the same way as the orders made via our website.

You will need good knowledge of both the osCommerce (PhP+MySQL) and Amazon Marketplace/zShop to handle this project, but most importantly the data structure of osCommerce because we certainly don't want ghost data spread various tables in the database. If you do have good knowledge of both, the above description should be clear enough.

Here is more details on the tasks involved:

1. Amazon.co.uk notify via Email that an order was made and full paid for, normally the Email subject contains "Sold, dispatch now ...", in the email body, it will use separate lines to pass the order details, such as

Order #:
Listing 1:
SKU:
Quantity:
Buyer's Price:
Listing 2:
SKU:
Quantity:
Buyer's Price:
Postage & Handling:
Total Amount:

Delivery address:
Dispatch to:
Address Line 1:
Address Line 2:
Town / City :
County:
Post Code:
Country:

Buyer Name:
Buyer e-mail:

2. The required PhP programme will selectively read those emails via POP connection to the email server (ingore those unrelated), it should also be able to prevent duplicate entry, for examples, the same "order #" may be emailed twice from Amazon for some unknow reasons.

3. The required PhP programme can check if the customer was already in the osCommerce database (MySQL), if not, a new customer will be inserted according to information collected. if yes, then the order will be recorded under his/her name. Note: they are many people with the same name, so please make sure the delivery address and email are the same as well.

4. The required PhP programme will create a new order for the customer in the osCommerce system, the products, the price, the delivery charges ... are all collected from the Amazon's order notification email. An osCommerce order ID should be generated, and payment method is "Amazon", this step might involve modification of one or two existing tables in the osCommerce database.

That's it!

P.S.: For those who have bid on this similar project, I changed the description quit some from the previous version so I think it better to close the previous and start again. I appologize for waisting your time. But this version of description is final, and one GAF member will win the bid.
