Description

We need to refactor an existing site backend to manage a products database in php/mysql, adding some new fileds (related to nutritional facts)
we also need to re-implement the functionality which queries the db via php and obtains the xml response in a given format.
The actual tool is not well implemented than we need to trow the old code away .

As of now we can give

* some actual user interface screenshot,
* the actual db structure,
* a pair of query examples.
* a draft of new interface

Actual source code will be given only to bidders.

Important:
due to a time problem we need to proceed with two steps

STEP 1) (as soon as possible, 1 day or so) add the new fields to the old version (in the user interface and of course in the xml feed)
STEP 2) Re-implement new interface

Notes:
The internal structure may change but
- the user interface,
- the query string mask and
- xml results must remain the same.

You can also use an existing framework to avoid to start from scratch but the code has to be very clean and well commented

we will setup a staging area to do the testing (and if you prefer to have continuous feedback to deploy the "work in progress" versions)
