Build your New Car

We will be developing a car configurator that will call web services and display the options available for a given car. This wizard will have 6 steps and lots of AJAX and will need to have very good looking graphics.

Deliverable 1 – Graphical Wizard for 6 step configurations

2.Base Model and Trim Selection
3.Color Options Interior /Exterior
4.Options and Accessories
5.Protection Plans and warranty
6.Pricing Options

Deliverable 2 – Wizard Coding – Calling web Services

There will be web Service Calls for 2-5 steps in the wizard. The Step 1 will be defined in the administration Setup and step 6 will be a simple payment calculator based on rates within admin)


Deliverable 3 – Server Deployment

You will be responsible for deploying on our Developent server for testing and final deployment to our production Server.

This will include the PHP wizard code, the Administration Console, the Web Services, and all required databases. We will be using a PostgreSQL for our wizard.


Deliverable 4 – Price It – Actions, Request a quote, email quote, print quote

1.Request a Quote – complete the Sales Request Quote Form
2.Email the Quote – to an individual and dealerships
3.Save Quote – Ability to user to save the quote to view later

Deliverable 5 – Simple Template Configurator Administration

There will be an Administrator Access that will complete the following 3 tasks
1.Register dealerships by entering the global ID key , and dealership information including:
2.Configure CSS for a given dealership – after the dealership is registered a copy of the Master CSS and is available to be styled.
3.Wizard Setup default parameters – used to configure Step 1 of the Wizard.

This is the first wizard. After completion of this with successfull team we will also award a second module for "Advanced Wizard" which will have additional features and graphic wizard.
