Description

Linux based application, that auto starts on system power up.

Automatically connects to the internet via the Huawei E169 HSDPA modem using wvdial with a reconnection script in case of a dropped connection.

Automatically sends system information every 15min, i.e. , ON/OFF status, IP & MAC address, System Name: qxdsp0001, 0002, 0003 etc, Bandwidth Consumption, CPU & Memory Load to a PHP or SQL database that will be linked to a Player Management Console.

Schedulable shut down times.

Fully integrated with a minimalistic ubuntu distro (less than 1GB for OS and player software). Create an ISO image to simply be installed on our hardware platform. Specifically the Intel D945GCLF2 motherboard, 1GB DDR2 667Mhz, 4GB Corsair mini flash voyager.

The various compatible media and data file types (listed below) need to play full screen, with no visible GUI or mouse cursor.

The various compatible media and data file are stored in a primary local folder /qxdsp/qxmedia which will be what is currently being played on the screen.

In order to conserve data usage the software player must automatically move any previously downloaded media files that are not currently being played to secondary backup folder /qxdsp/qxmediatemp, instead of deleting them.
