Description

1. MAKE DROPDOWN A REQUIRED FIELD
There is a dropdown menu box on our website; customers can select "how they heard about us", eg from google, from a friend, past customer, other...... and so on. We want to make this a required field.

2. WEBSITE SEARCH
We want to be able to use google analytics to track the queries that visitors search for on our website.
Currently ourwebsite outputs the url as www.url.com/search.php. Instead, we need it to output something like www.url.com/search.php?query="SEARCH QUERY HERE"...... for example, it would look like '/search.php?q=glow_sticks' if the customer search for glow sticks, or '/search.php?q=glow' if the customer searches for 'glow'

You need to make sure that if no search query is entered, it still outputs the standard search.php url..... so it does not mess up the search engine rankings.
