I recently set up a new web site running the Magento commerce solution, which is currently installed successfully. The stock Magento does not include functionality which I require.

Required functionality included in this job for hire:
1) I need to be able to set the shipping by the individual item to either UPS ground or a flat shipping that varies by item.

Details: Most items I sell are able to be shipped via UPS. That functionality to compute the UPS fee by the item is already included in the stock Magento, but some items I ship are large and require different flat fee shipping and are not shipped via UPS, such as large televisions.

So, when adding an item to the catalog, I need to be able to set the shipping to override the standard shipping methods and be a configurable flat fee that varies by the item instead. (If you are not able to add support for fixed fee that varies by the item and still leave the UPS method enabled for items not using this override, I would be ok with disabling all shipping methods except the variable flat fee by item, so that I could set different flat rates by the item and not have the other methods available, but only if necessary. The bottom line is I need to be able to set different fixed shipping fees by the item when adding the item to the Magento catalog.

2) I need support added for charging different sales tax based on the shipping state.

Details: I am based in Connecticut, but my suppliers are located in different states. If I sell an item that ships to my state, the State of CT requires that I collect tax on the item. By the same token, I have suppliers in different states who are required by their state governments to charge sales tax if the item is shipped to their state, so I need functionality added which, if the shipping state is CT, Magento charges 6.25% & if the shipping state is the same as the supplier's state, that state's sales tax would be charged instead, so as an example, if I put an iPod up for sale, when listing it, I need to be able to enter the shipping state the supplier is in. Then when the customer checks out, if the customer's shipping state matches either CT or the supplier's state entered when adding the item to the catalog, the applicable tax would be added to the order and if the buyer is not in either the supplier state or in my state of CT, no tax would be charged. Tax needs to be charged on shipping too.


Bonus:
This is a new startup business for me, so I have very limited funds right now so can only pay up to a max of $250. I am offering a bonus though, sort of a profit-sharing. If the above requirements are met, I will pay the coder a $100.00 bonus 6 months after the work is completed if the web site is successful (still up and open for business).
