Description:	Needed: Development of a Wordpress-based site focused on document sharing, commenting, and rating, forums, collaboration, and fostering a community of software architects. Specific requirements: • User Registration and Access Levels o Must allow new users to register for access o Only approved LZA architects will be allowed to access most portions of the site, however, so need to have a way to be notified of new users and approve users for higher levels of access. • Directory of Licensed ZapThink Architects (“LZA Directory”) o Provide a searchable directory of individuals that are Licensed ZapThink Architects o Directory must include a photo of the architect plus contact information (name, address, phone, email) o Must provide an easy mechanism to add new entries to directory by administrator o Must provide an easy means for users to modify and enhance their own profiles • Searchable Database of LZA Artifacts o The system should provide a categorized, tree-hierarchy style database / file management system of architectural artifacts (documents such as Word files, PPTs, PDFs, etc) o The listing of such artifacts at the high level should include the name of the artifact, upload date, category of artifact (or perhaps a tag-based mechanism for identifying artifact categories), ratings, # of comments, # of downloads, and the username of the person who uploaded the file. o The detail for a particular artifact should include name of the artifact, description of the artifact, category(s), date of upload, comments, ratings, and a thumbnail image that shows the first page or some other image that the uploader wishes to feature for the artifact. o The above items should be modifiable through a web-based administration interface in Wordpress. o Only approved users can upload architectural artifacts o Only approved users can download, comment, and rate architectural artifacts o All users can see what’s in the database and see the detail page as well as comments and ratings, but not able to download any of the files. • LZA Blogs o Approved users can have their own blogs to post on related topics on the LZA site o The site should have RSS feeds for architectural artifacts, blog posts, and LZA directory listings. • LZA Forums o There should be a forum to allow approved LZAs to chat with each other on related topics o Only approved users can post and reply to forum contents o All users can read the forums. • Front page o The front page of the site will feature the latest blog listings, newly uploaded architectural artifacts, LZA directory additions, and any LZA-related news posted by the administrator(s). o The front page will also allow ZapThink to promote events of interest to the whole LZA community, with banner ads and other promos • Allow for cross-posting of LZA activities to Zapthink.com site and newsletter (through RSS feed) • Other Capabilities o The site should be themable by ZapThink with whatever theme it chooses o There should be administrator configurable security roles o We prefer this site to be built with Wordpress, although we will consider a Joomla based site if it is easier to maintain and provides additional functionality or capability. DELIVERY TERMS • Contractor must use their own test site and database for all testing • All code and database data must be sent to us prior to approval or release of any funds. PAYMENT TERMS: These are the terms, which are non-negotiable: • 1/3 of total amount (33%) will be made into escrow at start • The above funds will be released once we receive the complete website for review • We will provide our comments and feedback and place another 1/3 of total amount (33%) into escrow • After all feedback and comments have been addressed, we will release the above escrow amounts and place the final 1/3 into escrow. • Once we receive the complete website – all files, database dump, and are able to successfully run the site on our own without assistance from contractor, we will release the final 1/3 payment DEADLINE / TIMING: • First submission of website must be done within 5 days of acceptance of bid • All reviews and final edits must be completed within 3 days of comment submission • Final site deliver must be done within 2 days of final acceptance of web site. Please justify your bid and provide current portfolio of relevant experience. High or irrelevant bids will be ignored; particularly those who have little or no feedback.
