Description

Create a template for a Wordpress newssite. Supply all files including .css and .php (header.php, footer.php, index.php etc.).

The template should be 3 columns with header (logo + ad + menu). First column should be app. 575-600 px. Second column app 160 px. Third column app 160 px. See attaced sketch. Please note: colors used in sketch are only to separate the different parts of the template and should not be used for the template. The template should have a white background. The rest is up to you, but keep it simple, professional and clean ("Less is more").

Please do not include comments (will not be used at all). Also do not use the text from the default WP-system at the end of every article/post: "This entry was posted.... trashback". "Comments are closed" should also be removed from the template.

Header/top:

* Ad + logo
* Day and date
* Menu
* Search
* Link to contact us form (not shown on sketch) - use a small gif (example: www.opp.no)

Column 1:

* Articles/posts
Please note: The first article/post should be app. 575-600 px. If a article has a picture and it is inserted before the more-tag, the picture should have a width of 575-600 px if it is the first article/post. The rest of the articles/posts should be app. 300 px including any pictures inserted before the more-tag. All pictures used in the articles/posts, will as a default be 575-600 px.
The article/post will also have the text: Tekst: xxxxx where xxxxx is the name of the person who is logged on. (Tekst = Posted by. This will by the way be a norwegian site and all text used will be translated by me if hardcoded.) Date and time should also be added to the article.

"Tell a friend" and "printer friendly" (please use standard WP-plugins if possible)

The main article/post should be followed by 4 new articles/posts (width=300 px) (2x2). An ad 600x150 px should be inserted after and followed by 10 new articles/post (2x5). (Is it possible to set the number of posts in the admin area without problems for the template?)

In the end of column 1 a list of the articles/posts for the last 30 days should be listed with title and time/dato and with a link to the article/post. If possible, the standard WP archive-system should be added in the bottom (not shown in sketch).

Column 2:

This column is mainly for standard WP-plugins like calender but some sections could be an ad, text, weather information etc.

Column 3:

Ads (160x px). If there is a standard WP-plugin please use it. If not, leave it as column 2 ("everything" can be inserted).

Menu:

The menu will have the following levels:

Toplevel:
Nyheter (uncategorized in standard WP - will be renamed to Nyheter) - Page 1 - Page 2 etc.

Nyheter will be the main page (index) and show all articles/posts.

Level 2:
Categories (5-10)

There will be made 5-10 categories in addition to Nyheter (uncategorized).

This level can be shown under the main menu. See an example on www.dagbladet.no where a similar structure is used.

Please note:
When a reader clicks an article/post, the article/post should be followed by the rest of the articles from the main page. Example: www.aftenposten.no.

The same template should be used on all pages (3 columns) related to articles/posts. This will also be used on page 1, page 2 and search, but without any articles/posts.

If you want to bid on this project, please give a link or two to wordpress templates already made by you. Please also include a week or so for testing purposes and adjustments (if any).
