Description

We are in the process of creating a new website which will provide business listings for a specific city.

We are looking for a site design similar to superpages.com and yellowbook.com although obviously it will be targeted at just one city.

For the home page we need a logo, search box, top categories box, text links.

Additionally there are a couple of advanced HTML features we require:

As per yellowbook.com when somebody starts to type in a service and/or business name a list of suggestions (from our database) appears automatically below the box and updates dynamically as the person enters more letters.

As per superpages.com when somebody click on "view all" under top categories a pop-up page appears which list a bigger list of categories.

Please do not bid unless you are confident you can re-produce these two features.

Regarding the logo for the site, we envisage this will be a cartoon version of the city's "Welcome to ...." signpost, so you or your team we need the ability to create this, alternatively you can sub-contract this part out.

You will also need to design templates for the search result pages. For example see http://www.yellowbook.com/category/real-estate/new-york/new-york/ then click on the "View Ad" button next to a few of the listings. Some come up on a new page and some come up as a pop-up. We would require designs for each of these types of listings.

We are using phpmydirectory as the code behind the site so any experience you have of this will be very helpful.

We see this as a long term project and will hopefully continue to work with you to tweak the design as we add new features over the coming months and years. However please initially just bid for the complete job as detailed above.

You should be prepared to work very closely with us via msn/aim to get the design exactly right, which may include numerous tweaks and changes.
