Description

Hi! This post is to get a budget idea for a project that will not start until January or February 2009. I would like to get an idea of the budget, so if the budget is not in the right area, let me know.

This project will likely be done in stages and can be awarded to a team for the full project or split into graphics, programming, and flash. If you want to do one section, please let me know your bid for that section in PM, along with a link to your portfolio with examples of similar work.

I can give details in PM, but basically, it would be similar to gaiaonline.com, where it's largely a social site and you get money by doing random activities on the site and by playing games. That money can be spent on in game items and skills for your character. Please take a look at gaiaonline.com to get a better idea, because I like the way most of their site works. There would be a few differences, like user skills and item creation.

I do some PHP but the scope of this project is a little over my head and it would take me too long to do it myself.

Graphics

I would like a pixel-doll type of character, because it would be easiest to add new clothes, but will take other ideas into consideration. I would need the web design (either the template or just the graphics if you just do graphics), a character/doll base (in a few skin tones and both sexes), and about 200 items to start out.

Flash
-------
I would like a few high-quality games that use the graphics from the site and fit in the site design. They do not all have to be super complex. Memory would be okay. But I would like a few nice ones, like a dash style game. Flash has to integrate with the site and site scoring system.

Programming

I can explain more of what I need in PM, but it would be basically a social site with a few basic game elements. I plan to use PHP/MySQL.

This is a feeler post. I am trying to get an idea of the cost of this type of site. A higher budget is possible for quality work.

This may be done in stages, and although I would prefer a team that can keep it cohesive, I am looking for high quality work and will split the project to get good work as long as the designers and programmers can work well together.

This project would likely begin in early (Jan - Feb) 2009.
