What am I looking for is a modification of an attached php file/continuation without errors.

Database.txt holds the information on the database


Current file-

Holds dropdown box containing list of users

on submit

displays dropdown box with list of dates based on user

on submit

should display

Time: "Time Bought"
Ticker: "Name of Ticker"
Cost: "Bought Shares * Bought Price"
Profit: "(Sold Price * Sold Shares) + other sell price*shares if more than 1 - (buy price*boughtshares)"

Heres the problem you can fix.
Possibly by running a count of current shares left
If all shares not accounted for, display "Still holding"

Percent: "(Sold Cost / Bought Cost) * 100 - 100" rounded to 2 decimals

Again, the problem by running a count or etc. for determining #of buys/sells
If still holding display "NA"

Duration: "Last Sold Time - Bought Time"

Again Based on previous bought shares
e.g. Bought 11am Ticker1 Price=2.3 Shares=1000
Sold 11:15am Ticker1 Price 2.6 Shares=300
Sold 11:30am Ticker1 Price 2.8 Shares=700
So for that transaction, Duration: "11:30am-11am"
If still holding display "NA"


For the attached database.txt,

upon clcking submit for the selected date, the output should be

Time: '09:32:08' Ticker: 'ASFX' Cost: '4380' Profit: '-300' Percent: '-6.85' Duration: '9 min'
Time: '09:32:40' Ticker: 'HTDS' Cost: '2280' Profit: '80' Percent: '3.51' Duration: '8 min'
Time: '09:56:47' Ticker: 'MCET' Cost: '5100' Profit: '300' Percent: '5.88' Duration: '5 min'
Time: '10:03:49' Ticker: 'MCET' Cost: '9500' Profit: '450' Percent: '4.74' Duration: '4 min'
Time: '10:17:49' Ticker: 'MCET' Cost: '50000' Profit: '12250' Percent: '24.5' Duration: '6 min'
Traded: 71260 Percent: 31.78 Profit: 12780

Now these figures do not represent actual market activity, just information based on data from database.txt


Currently the code works fine when 1 unique buy and #sold shares = #bought shares,
the problem is multiple instances of same tickers, and multiple sells
Maybe you will find the way though for loops, just dont limit the # of sells to 1 or 2 or 3 as shown in database.txt
