Description

We are looking for a reliable, competent & innovative individual or company with an impressive background in designing websites, specifically regarding the implementation using css stylesheets.

DO NOT BID, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RICH PORTFOLIO OF WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT.

Essentially, required is a css / html "template shell" and attractive headings, fonts, link colors, buttons, graphics, logos, etc.

The general layout of the screens will be provided.

The resulting application should closely stick to the standards set in the above mentioned website. This includes frameless operation as well as a minimum size under which no section can shrink when scaling the application window.

The provided artefacts must be compatible with:
• Internet Explorer 6.x or higher
• Firefox 2.x or higher
• Safari

The number of screens will be in the area of 20 to 25:
This includes but is not limited to:
- Login Screen
- User Preferences (Edit Mode, View Mode)
- Template (List Mode, Edit Mode, View Mode)
- Funds (List Mode, Edit Mode, View Mode)
- Partners (List Mode, Edit Mode, View Mode)
- Securities (List Mode, Edit Mode, View Mode)
- Views (Customizable layout of application – define logos, names)

Screens are mostly available in the following different modes:

Read-Only Mode

Popups are to be avoided where possible

Screens identified to take longer while loading, a message showing „Loading data“ is to be implemented (animated gif or flash).

Dropdown boxes are to be preferred over check boxes, since the dropdown box content can be more easily modified.

Values for dropdowns or list of values are to be saved in the database, and not hardcoded in the application.

All Date and Time fields are to be formatted according to the user preferences set by the user.

All numeric fields are to contain a delimiter for thousands (according to user preferences). Numeric fields are to be limited to two decimal places, unless otherwise defined.

All buttons available in the upper section of the screen, are to be repeated at the bottom. This is to enhance the user experience when a long list of data is displayed and the user needs to go through extensive vertical scrolling.

The sorting order of the menu is to be flexible, so that it can be easily changed afterwards.

Each column header in a grid must be clickable, to define the sorting order (ascending, descending, default). If possible sorting by multiple columns should be available.

Each row in a datagrid is to be shown in alternating colours (user definable).

A breadcrumb navigation feature is required.

The chosen bidder will be asked to sign a non disclosure and non-compete form before work will commence, and all written source code, logo’s and anything else associated directly with the application will be our property and copyright.
There will be no reusing, reselling, distributing, promotion, or showing to your clients or anyone else without written permission beforehand.

Time is vital; however, we do not want anything to be detrimental to the quality of work produced.
Required: good communication, mutual respect and integrity throughout.

We are generally interested in establishing a long-term working relationship with a potential bidder, including possible follow-up assignments.

Req. Doc. Type: What kind of documentation do you want for this project?
Prototype: The bidder will first create a mockup of all pages/screens in the final website before final implementation. Creating a prototype makes it easier for the user to visualize the final software, and reduces misunderstandings. Bidder will permit regular checkpoints to allow verification of progress and over all checking of progress / general direction.

The final result will incorporate individual sections / widgets that can be dynamically moved around (for examples as in iGoogle). The layout of each section / widget must be independently designed.

Design and functionality: What does the programming of this project involve?
UI Design: Create the User Interface for User Interaction, design and implement website / style sheets.

1) We require complete and fully-functional working website as well as complete documented source code of all work done.
2) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
3) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the seller's Seller Legal Agreement.

4) All the software code must be well documented and should be accompanied by proper design documents.

Other Info:
Code should be clean, tested and bug free.
Basic screen shots will be provided but you are required to complete the GUI Design on your own in a self-sufficient manner.
Only people having experience with writing / designing web-applications and websites will be considered. We may also require you to code a small Proof of Concept to verify your credibility.

For serious consideration please provide several examples of previous work that you have done. The code needs to be well designed, documented and modularized.
The total analysis, development, testing and documentation phase must not be longer than 3 business weeks.
