Description

Hi,

We are looking for a very simple, cleanly designed website and web interface
for an upstart E-Learning company. We are looking to create a module that allows English speaking Teachers to tutor Students interested in learning English online through video chat.

We have already most of the development work in that we have a very detailed Site Tree, Lay-out, and a FRS in place. We also have narrowed down our third party Web Chat interface company.

We are not programmers, but we need the interface to be PHP/MySQL compliant AND compatible with Apple and Windows computers.

Our interface also has a lot of social networking elements as well as video chat on the web. If you do not have background in this, please do not submit.

From the bidders, we will select a few to contact and will show these selected bidders our development documents. Then, we will negotiate a suitable price. Again, we stress that we have already done MOST of the develompent work on the site. We just need someone to program it. This should be factored into bids and estimated completion times.

Among some of the features of our web interface are (but not limited to):

1. Use of video chat capabilities integrated within our interface. Each video "lesson" will be recorded and archived so that both teacher and student can go back and review or download the video at any time. Also, during the lesson, students and teachers have the ability to post images or documents on a stage that both parties and see simultaneously. At the end of each lesson, a online verification signature where each
teacher and student verifies the completion of the lesson.

2. Instant Messaging, Private Mailbox, "My Friends", "My Pics", "Leave Comment", and other social networking tools between the Teacher and the Student. This section is very similar to MYSPACE.

3. Profiles for each Teacher (which would include pictures and biographies) as
well as a video clip "intro" from each Teacher. Basic and Advanced Search of Teachers as well.

4. Ranking system for each Teacher that every Student can rank the teachers (between 1-5
stars), and also post reviews. On our home page, we will "showcase" the Highest Ranked Teachers, Current Available Teachers, and much more.

5. Within the Scheduling System, each teacher and student can review how many
lessons they have had within the last "x" number of dates, number of lessons upcoming, names of teachers/students for that lesson, the time/date/rate of lesson, and much more.

6. Within the Billing System, we will accept payment from Student and pay out Teachers through online credit cards, Paypal, and also sending checks.

7. An Admin/CMS for the Administrator to view and track all information on students, teachers, lessons, rates, profiling, etc. pertintent to the site.

8. A Classified Ads section where Teachers/Students/Guests can trade goods and services.

9. A Forum section where Teachers/Students/Guests can discuss teaching as well as other topics. Within the Forum section, a select "Teacher's Lounge" where membership Teachers can access a database with worksheets, homeworks, tests, and quizzes that they can use in their lessons.

These are some of the highlights of our site. We will go into much more detail with our documents.
