Description

We are looking for someone that can work with us on some of the complex areas of a virtual learning web site. We are thinking of using Moodle for the LMS and Joomla for the front end.

The website will have two parts; the first is the front end that will be the landing pages (Joomla). It will promote the site owner and partners. It will additionally showcase all the partners courses, events, dates and locations which are filtered through from Moodle. The second is the back end LMS for each partner/company (moodles).
To facilitate this we envisage that we would require multiple installs of Moodle. This way we can have separate admins and decrease the complexity of having to maintain separate groups. The separate installs will be hosted on the same computer.

Tutors from the individual partners will have access to create online training and learning aids for students, students will have access to complete online learning, access material, and submit work.



The solution:
There will be one Joomla site and multiple Moodle sites on the same server. We need to push data from the Moodle sites to the Joomla site. Each Moodle site will push course info, sitewide (frontpage) news and sitewide events to Joomla.

So we require
1. Multiple installations of moodle on the same server.
2. A plugin between Joomla and various Moodles to display selected content from individual partners moodles to be displayed on the the main front end web site.
We are able to handle all the design work so you do not need to deal with that.

Please this is a serious and urgent project. Do not apply if this is not something you understand/or can provide. We would also like to see some examples of work that you have done in Joomla and Moodle.

It seems as if there is a bit of confusion and this is obvious from receiving quotes as low as $100 to a heady price of $5000. additionally, some people are talking about a ridiculous 75 day development period.
We are going to review our requirements and scale down accordingly and early next week we will post what is needed exactly. Thanks for your time and look forward to working with one of you.

We have now simplified the project and have it storyboarded.

Please review the attached pdf document and provide us with quotes.
We will contact those who provide reasonable quotes and good project understanding within a day and thereafter it would be good if we could also have a discussion on skype to nail down full understanding of requirements.

Just to be clear there is no need for database sharing between moodle and Joomla. So no integration is required at all. There will just be a clear button link from each partners site (within Joomla) to the students learning zone (Moodle).
The core of the work is therefore in Joomla
