Description

We are looking for an experienced Magento developer to slice our concept design images into a magento theme and template. We will provide the concept design images and a functional specification to a preferred bidder. There are six template customization items that need to be developed. Most are page views containing product and category links that are arranged based on the Magento product category structure. We will provide a pre-configured Magento staging area somewhere online that has our category structure and sample products. The category structure will be four levels deep:

category level 1 : product type
category level 2 : product brand
category level 3 : product series
category level 4 : product model
item level : product items

The six customizations are summarized below for bidding purposes. The preferred bidder will receive a more detailed specification.

Developer Tasks:

A) Some main template/cms changes need to be made so that the home page content area and footer are manageable in the Magento cms system. The footer should be a static cms block. We also need the top banner link for 'about us' changed to 'login' and have it go to the regular Magento customer login. The product page needs to be rendered as shown in the design image and have dynamic 'Specifications' and 'Product Overview' sections. The 'Additional information' is static content that we would prefer to be managed as a Magento cms block.

B) A 'product brand page' view is needed to show all the category level 4 product models for a particular level 2 brand category. The product models should be listed in sections grouped by their category level1 (product type) and sub-grouped by category level 3 (product series) as shown in the concept design image.

C) A 'product model page' view is needed to list all compatible products items for a particular product model that is separated into three sections as shown in the design image. The sections can be determined from the custom product attributes. Custom product attributes can be used to render details in the product listing.

D) A 'Quick finder module' must be developed that can be re-used in several cms pages as shown in the home page design image. It is to have three dropdowns. The first is a dropdown for level 1 product type category options. The other two dropdowns are disabled until a product type is selected. The second dropdown contains level 2 brand names. The third dropdown contains product models which are grouped within the options by product series. When a user clicks 'find', they should always land on a 'product model page' that matches the selection for product model.

E) A 'compatible product models block' is needed in the product page to show compatible product models for each product as shown in the design image. This data could be parsed by collecting every category level 4 (product models) that the product belongs to.

F) A ' Product Type' page needs to be developed for each of the top menu items. For example, when an item is clicked in the top menu, the user should land on a page with a head paragraph about that item, an item illustration, and a listing of product brand links. We would like to manage the head paragraph and illustration within Magento cms. The brands listing should be rendered dynamically from the database or menu structures. When a brand link is
selected, the user should land on a 'brand page' or something similar. The difference is that now we only want to show the one product type section in the 'brand page' listing, based on which top menu item was picked.


This concludes the requirements summary.

Assignment and Ownership of Intellectual Property: All source code created under this project shall be considered works for hire, and further, to the extent any intellectual property right does not pass pursuant to a work for hire, the seller assigns all rights the the source code to the buyer.
