Description

I need support in creating a Joomla based website about TV-series aired in the Netherlands. The website will also be used as a demonstration website to show the possibilities of Joomla because of a big site.

Hopefully you can imagine what a tv-series website should be about. Think of LOST, Friends, Greys Anatomy, etc.

For the Joomla template you can use an existing template. I have seen a few good templates for this specific website. For example the next one:
rockettheme.com: june 2008 - Hyperion
This one is almost perfect. The homepage is great and just fine (one question, could i use youtube trailers to show on the homepage?). This template does not have the tabbed content when clicking somewhere I think?

I also like the tabbed-content (kinda like Spry tabs) on the template on shape5.com: March 2008 - Duo Plate (on the homepage S5 tabshow). This is the way I would like to display the information about the serie.

Know of another good template that would be perfect? Let me know. Possibly yours is better for this site. :)



For each tv-serie I would like to manage the following information:
* Introduction / short description / with image(s) (also the starting tab when clicking on the name of a tv-serie)
* Review (primary self managed content... written by me, but if possible allow visitors to add comment / review if this is easy to do and not to expensive to setup)
* The cast (names of actors, possible small image, sometimes a link to another series)
* Media - videos (like youtube) and photos (i will just embed the html code for the videos)
* Episode guide
* Links and fan sites

All the above I can manage with a WYSIWYG-editor. But I would like the user interface to show the above using tabs (like on the template Hyperion). But possibly there is too much info to display this way?? Suggestions are welcome.

Would it be possible to add the IMDB.com rating for a tv-serie? Automatically would be nice, but manually is also great. If too hard then I will just type the score in the review section.

The website will also contain news in general, not necessarily linked to a specific tv-serie. Just news whereby the most recent is shown on homepage.

Also I would like a searchbox where you can search the website and the tv series.

Navigation would be: Home, News (overview), TV-Series (lists alphabetically the names of the series), Search, Fun (trivia, games, links, etc.), about (information in general, contact, etc)


And would it be possible to optionally add the option of adding a Forum to this website? How much would this cost me extra? Because I must limit the investment initially.

The website will be in dutch, I will provide translations where needed (for example the dutch names of the pages).

You can provide advice on the hosting of the website. If you know and prefer a good provider, let me know. But I have already selected a dutch domainname (domain.nl) and I can arrange for a Joomla qualified hosting service-provider. If I setup the hosting then I will provide you with the login-details and you could use (if you want) the Joomla auto-installer of this provider.

Please provide:
- a small planning
- overview of optional cost
- example websites made by you (preferably similar setups)
- overview of what is included in the bid
- and what you would require from me?
