Description:	I am looking to create a Google Maps based community site for sharing way points recorded using various GPS devices. The site will use Google Maps to record and share location info records uploaded to a MySQL DB and show these on Google Maps. The site operates with static views on the data showing way-points over a specific time period on Google Maps, as well as dynamic blog entries that allows a user to publish a given time period, e.g. a trip or a holiday, to other users. The dynamic data are shared with other users by publishing a "blog entry" that has a Google Maps window embedded. The social networking features should be build on a standard PHP based environment like Drupal or Joomla and should have all the features known from Facebook and similar sites. This includes creating groups and sharing data such as blog articles, photos, etc between members of a group as well as communicating seemlessly with members within a group. The basic version of the site should be modelled on existing sites that allows users to upload, download and share location data. Please PM me for more details on existing sites.
