Description

I have a 120 page website (15mb) using html templates with tables for positioning and CSS for text only. The pages were hand coded in Homesite and are very simple, tidy and consistent. There is not much variation between the template design of the main and subdirectory pages. There are comment tags in the code of each html page, identifying where content begins and ends, simplifying extraction to a database.

I do not have much time to update my sites anymore and want the whole site except for the bulletin board converted to Website Baker CMS so it is easier for me to add new content, and update the sitemaps and navigation to include them.

(I am new to this service, and not sure if posting the url would be a violation of contact guidelines.)

Work list:

Convert the table based design to website baker templates with css positioning while remaining as close to the original look and layout of the site as possible. Result must resize to the browser window at least as well as the current site.

Retain similar site structure and arrangement of content pages. (subdirectories/files)
- submit design for approval.

Import all documents in the present site to the new CMS,(database)

Create forwarding links (htaccess? meta?) to preserve bookmarks, search-engine friendly URLs and excellent (top 10) google listings.

Aside from the conversion, a few tweaks:

Some minor changes to navigation structure and links, that will partly be dependent on how successful the conversion looks. Possibly CSS drop down menus from the existing upper nav bars.

Module prepared below the right column navigation for future addition of google adwords & site search box.
Tweaks to the footer including improving the copyright notice with an original publication date and "last updated" date function.

Minor security updates, such as slicing up a few original images to protect copyrights.

I need someone who is very familiar with Website Baker (the simplest CMS around) and CSS/php. I will provide you a zip of the whole site (public_html folder) or FTP access to a mirror version for you to download.

I expect to get back files (database and templates. etc) that I (or one of my techs) can plop into a fresh WB install on the live site and be good to go.

Finished result must be *stable*. I notice a lot of the templates for WB are not, there is overlapping text or areas moving out of place.

The project is not top secret, but I expect reasonable discretion, and for my exclusive copyrights to my art, design and content be respected.
