Description

Looking for a multiple file CSV editor that does NOT require the opening of the CSV files. This can be a PC application (.exe) or a php script pointing to a directory on server.

This editor would have the following functions:
Import multiple CSV's at once by entering the file names of up to 20 files from a pre-specified directory.

The options available would then be to either input a prefix or sufix to the 1st column of all the CSV's specified.
example:
filename1 could contain
ball | column2...
car | column2...
shoe | column2...
etc...

filename2 could contain
pencil | column2...
box | column2...
etc...

The app or script would then give me the option of adding any prefix or sufix to column 1. Example prefix "red" would generate and automatically save in same folder:
red_filename1 and would contain:
red ball | column2...
red car | column2...
red show | column2...

and red_filename2 would contain:
red pencil | column2...
red box | column2...

This would also work the same for a sufix added to column 1.

This app/script would also provide a search and replace function for the entire data in the CSV file, again without opening the file (only specifying the filename) and applying it to a series of file.
These files would then be renamed and automatically saved as sr_filename1, sr_filename2 etc...

- It is important that these files do not need to be opened and must be autosaved after modifications.
- It is also important that multiple files (up to 20) can be specified top have the same rules applied.
-Any alpha-numeric characters can be input.
-Spaces can also be input in prefix/sufix or search & replace.
