Description

Excel Import Export Data exchange with MySQL Howto & Example

To goal of this project is to create an Excel Document with some sample data. An update Button allows the User to check an external MYSQL server. If the Data on the external SQL server is newer then the Data within the Excel document is then automatically updated. The User is then capable of modifying the data in Excel and submits the modified data back to the external SQL server.
It should be assumed that the user has MS Excel 2003 / 2007 and no administrative rights on the PC. The User cannot install a new program or make complex configurations.

An alternative solution would be to build an online submission / incoming email where the Excel document is received, automatically parsed and the data imported into the SQL database.
