Educational Talented Linux Admin Teacher

Day after day we are experiencing the increasing need for linux
know how. Since there are many applications we do not want other people to access them, we decided to look for a person who has good
Linux administration know-how and can help our technician to build up
a LAMP environment. The "teacher" shall give advice and answer
the questions which arise. Our technician is learning fast and
has several years of programming experience - so you are not dealing
with an entirely newbie.

For this first "project lesson" we thought about the following
aspects a linux admin can help with words and deeds:

- Choosing a linux distribution (pros and cons)
- Setting up a computer with the chosen linux distribution (installation of drivers, most needed software modules, security aspects, most needed tools etc.)
- Installing a LAMP system (this can already be done by our
technician - but we want an experienced admin to look whether
there can be made optimizations)
- Maintaining the LAMP system (how to patch, upgrade and other stuff to care about etc.)


The communication shall be done via MSN or ICQ. We hope for a longer
partnership - so we can build up trust and work together more closely.

We thought about 5-8 hours of help for the tasks above.
