Description

This will be a three part job. Everything is listed below. You must have extensive experience in the vBulletin Board. If we like your work on this project, then we will use your services again. We have more things we want done after this project. This will be a long term relationship. A portfolio will be a huge plus. If you can show us past vBulletin work, that would be a huge plus too.

Here is the project:

# 1 - Membership
We want to create a membership for the bulletin board. Right now, it is free to view the board. If you want to post and reply, then you have to pay. The way we do it now is this way:

A person signs up on the bulletin board. They cannot post or reply until we go into the admin area and register them. When a person signs up, we then get an automated email from the bulletin board stating a new person has just joined. We then manually send them a canned email that says this:

“Thanks for signing up with 911jobforums.com! Get your questions and comments answered by applicants and members of the Law Enforcement and Fire /EMS community in real time! To complete the registration process, please click on the link below:

http://www.911jobforums.com/signup.htm”

When a person clicks on the link above, it brings them to a shopping cart where they pay for their membership. When a person pays, we then get an email from our shopping cart. We then go to the admin area in the bulletin board and set them to registered status. Then they can post and reply.

What we want:
*We are looking to automated this process. When a person signs up, we want the person to automatically get the canned email above or directly go to the link above. We get about 30-40 people signing up a day. It gets tedious sending the canned email manually. If we can have it done automatically, it would cut our work load in half.

Not sure if this can be done, and this step is not necessary for the project. However, if it can be done, then it would be a huge plus:
*We would also like for the manually changing of the person to registered status to be eliminated. As described above, after a person pays, we then have to manually go into the admin section of the board and change them to registered. It would be nice to have a person pay, and have their status changed to registered automatically. You will have access to our shopping cart if needed.

# 2 – Redirection of Index Page:
* When a person goes to www.911jobforums.com, we want it to automatically redirect to www.911jobforums.com/vB

# 3 – Upgrade of Bulletin Board:
*We want to be upgraded to the latest version. We will send you link that will have all the files to upgrade to the new board.
