Description

I am looking for a developer who is very skilled in PHP to help me with a rather simple project. This project will likely lead to future projects if all is done satisfactorily. I need someone to set up and deploy an installation of osCommerce (open-source PHP/MySQL shopping cart) with a few changes from the standard install. The administrative section needs to be broken down into two distinct admin areas…one for a “daily admin” that contains all the regular functions for order and product management. The other admin section will be the complete osCommerce admin panel. I have attached sample screenshots to help explain what I mean. I do not want the “daily user” to have access to the advanced features, only those necessary for managing the items and managing orders and users. The full admin will have all the full capabilities. No new functionality is being added, and since osCommerce is developed in a very modular way, this seems to me like a very quick and easy project. I will also need you to develop the page template from a PSD (Photoshop) file that I will provide of the graphics. Some slight modifications may be necessary to the PSD file before you cut it into slices and export it in order to fit it into osComemrce easily. You must have the expertise to use and manipulate the Photoshop file and to then build the PHP templates from it. This too should be easy, as the entire osCommerce system uses included PHP code for the header, left and right sides, and footer. I am NOT interested in any bids from anyone who is not ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that they can do this and do it with expert care. I will not choose anyone who attempts to contact me outside of this website. Prior experience configuring templates and functions for osCommerce is STRONGLY preferred. You will do all installation and testing. You will not need to upload the full product inventory, however you should probably post 20-25 items in different categories for testing and demonstration purposes. The credit card processing will be done using Linkpoint, which is not one of the standard gateways for osCommerce, however a module for it is available in the developers area. I have never tested the Linkpoint module, so I cannot verify that it works. The entire project MUST be 100% completed within 18 days of me sending you the PSD design. If you cannot meet this deadline with absolute accuracy, PLEASE DO NOT BID on this project. I will be available by email daily; however most questions you should be able to answer yourself based upon the guidelines above. You will be provided with FTP access to the web server for setup.
