Description

Hello,

I am looking for a system admin that I can hire for hourly work. Currently I'm having a specific issue with a vbulletin based website hosted on my box. I have several sites hosted on the site, and the vbulletin one I am having problems with is the only one that really utilizes MYSQL databases.

This morning the website randomly started loading very very slowly, and after running some tests I noticed that the network was fine, and every other site was loading at the normal, fast speeds. Several users also reported getting MYSQL errors when trying to access the vbulletin site.

I am pretty sure that their is some issue with the mysql server.. please let me know what you think the issue might be, and what you will do to fix it.

Please include your hourly rate in the PMB, as well as what online messengers you use, and your hours of availability. I prefer gchat, but let me know what you have. I will pay you hourly for the work done, and will obviously use you for future system admin work as well.

Thanks

I need further inspection to tell (the mysql error would help), but it could be anything from the query size parameter in MySQL, corrupted tables, lack of indexes in the tables, etc. The obvious fixes are, depending on the problem, increasing query size, fixing the tables, adding indexes and so on.
