Description

Hi there,

My site uses Magento. I've got 500+ products that are "configurable" - there are currently no associated products with them. I need to change these products to "simple".

The reason for this is adding assosicated products would take too long, so i want to be able to use "custom options" which is a bit faster.

I've tried to change these products to simple, by the import/export menu on system. I've downloaded the all product csv file and changed "configurable" to "simple" for all products. I then uploaded this file back with the changes, however, nothing has been updated. I'm assuming magento won't let me do this using import/export.

If anyone knows how to do this, then please bid.
