Kootali lets you run your own site like Facebook. It is designed from the ground up to be the easiest to use social networking software available. Easy to install and set up, you can easily change the theme / template of your social network site. Kootali is a true Web 2.0 turnkey application.

Very powerful admin section. Many of the changes can be done in the admin section.
Changes:
1) Go to yourbac.com for direction in design and colors. Can enter site with username: hainq password: hainq This website is under hostmonster.com www/php_fox. Will only use this site to get assets to make home page and header. We are redoing the backend with kootali backend.
2) STOP REJECTION EMAIL. if someone rejects your friend request, do not send email to the person who asked to be friends to say his friendship has been rejected. No where do you want to get negative feedback to say who has rejected you.
3) Add city and state to classifieds.
4) change design of Sign up on home page so matches better w/ color scheme and design of BAC.
5) Change design templates so index page, home page when signed in, profile page all changed.
ALL DESIGN TEMPLATES OF THE SITE FOLLOW THIS DESIGN LIKE FACEBOOK WHERE THE WALL AND NEWSFEEDS ARE AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE. APPLICATIONS, FRIEND FINDS, AND ADS WILL BE ON THE RIGHT, NOT THE LEFT SIDE OF PAGE. LETS GO OVER EACH MAIN PAGE LOOK AT BEGINNING OF THE PROJECT. 6) When hit “edit” defaults to new tab called “Community Profile” tab which will match the orange in the BAC header to feature this part of profile for community building.
Put this text in red at the top of this tabbed profile page.
THIS IS THE MAIN PROFILE TO BUILDING A COMMUNITY AND FACE-TO-FACE ENCOUNTERS.
7) GROUP CHANGE TO COMMUNITY: change all content or words from group to “community” and groups to “communities” (IN ADMIN or elsewhere)
Change group type, select category to “Community Type” with the following categories below:
Delete “select type”, this pull-down menu, and this subgroup.
8) also under create group
Add state and pull down menu.

9) Want like facebook to have the following in “profile” and pull high schools and colleges from database. I will supply databases for high schools and colleges in Excel. Will need to pull out of columns of info the following: high school name, city, and state.
High schools: database high schools, city, and state w/ pull-down menu of year ‘graduated in’
Colleges: database grab all colleges, city, and state w/ pull-down menu of year ‘graduated in’

Networks will pull from database of cities and states. I will supply database in Excel of cities and states for network.

Under Networks replace ‘suggest a network’ with “find a network” and also need ‘create a network’

10)Need to add simple links (perhaps 5-15) to the site for friendliness, intuitiveness
11) Change the footer to the following and all links from the current front home page at yourbac.com will need to copy and paste so works on new site. Probably in the admin part of site, but if not I will need an admin part that allows me to create wysiwig pages for the site.
