Hi, I read your requirement carefully, and also did some pre-project research over this. To much extent, the project is clear to me. I will be using Python Language, with django framework, some components inspired from other frameworks and database as MySQL.Also, some bash scripts for quick management. I think your application needs to be easily extensible as well as readable, so in future, if you want to add more features, and you don't need future developers working on new framework and base remodelling . Security imposition in website will be taken care of, as I do secure code development. The feed readers and parsers as well as raw source readers/parsers will be sort of plugins, so later in time if you need to add more sources for news, it would not be hard and messy to achieve. Architecture details would be sent before even I start coding. Project delivery specified as 45 days. Initial sprint would give working site within 25 days, with initial testing included. More plugins and features with overall testing will be delivered incrementally, and finally in 45 days. I am working in a IT Development firm as Security Analyst as well as OpenSource Web-Developer. Framework : Ruby on Rails I have previously done projects which have involved web crawling and have made bots which sends SMS if a new news comes in a news site. The sites which best describes this type of work is I think Google News, which btw misses the functionality of giving comments and voting on news.
