I liked what I saw in the Thin Slice demo they have online here: http://upload.thinfile.com/resume/upload.php

I would've liked to buy the script but they never responded my questions, so I don't want to risk it, because I need it to adapt to the way my website is supposed to work.

Also, I don't like the way it asks to run the script (that java popup), so maybe java is not the best way to go, but I can live with that as long as the script works well and the popup has my logo.

I have a modified yousendit clone (I'll give you the link through PM)
where I would like something like that implemented, but it has to work like this:
There are 4 levels to the site (already developed),
a)free 100MB uploads from the homepage (no login required)
b)free 250MB uploads with registration (login)
c) paid 1GB uploads with membership registration (login)
d) paid one-time 1GB upload (login with promotional code)

How it should work:
1. the user logs in (or uses the hompeage for small delivery)
2. types the email address of their recipient
3. browses for the file on his harddrive
4. writes a small message
5. clicks send <--- from here your script should take over the upload process, showing stats (percentage, KB to go, speed, etc) and slicing the upload so that I have no problems with max_file_size from the server and so on.
It also should give an error message to the user if he tries to upload a file larger than allowed (depending on the level he is in, over 100MB, 250MB or 1GB) It should also allow to resume broken uploads, like the thin slice script.
6. The user is taken to a success page (just like it does now, you can test it if you PM me) with information about his file, link to download it etc.
7. Both the user and his recipient get an email notification exactly like they do now.

I am open to suggestions on the technology you are going to use, as long as it is compatible with my linux server and php. Low cost and short development time will also be favoured. I will pay with paypal when the project is completed and uploaded to the site. I have posted many projects here on getafreelancer.com and you can see I always pay my providers quickly, and give excelent reviews if the project is completed successfully.
