Fixes to Freelancer 2.9 site - Writerbin.com

I recently purchased this website, and need a few small tweaks and changes. I am looking for a long relationship with someone familiar with a script like this, as I am in process of building similar sites to this and will need help here soon as well.

Password requirements:
Currently the site is setup too strict in terms of passwords. I want to allow any password over 6 characters.

Account Management:
Right now it is very difficult to navigate the website. When users log in, I want to show their user information (name, and type of account) and management menu in the left column (view account, payment transactions, etc) . Similar to getafreelancer - let them access their writer or buyer account information from the left column at all times.

Writerbin.com's cut of all transactions:
I am not certain how the site currently works as it was recently purchased, but I would like you to tell me how this is currently working. Please make changes necessary so this works similarly to GetAfreelancer. This means every job posting costs some amount of money (I think GAF is $5 standard), and then a percentage of each payment made to a freelancer is transferred to the Writerbin.com paypal account.
When freelancers bid and win a project, they pay Writerbin.com - in the same fashion as getafreelancer (I am not certain to GAF's details, but you should be able to determine this as part of the project) .

If you are able to test out the site thoroughly and identify other items that can be improved, I will give you a bonus as it will be worth my while to have the site running well.

Please send link examples to other sites that are similar - freelancer sites preffered but not necessary.
