Description

I need to extract from the pages of a single website of the data for well-specified TAG. The structure of the pages and fields to be extracted is always the same. The pages are all connected with each other as a directory and processing can be performed locally once downloaded the site with wget for example. The fields, about 3 or 4, then go into a MySQL database. Two of these fields will be "company name" and "e-mail address". Finally a simple script, preferably in php, should send an e-mail to each of these addresses.

extensive perl/linux/web experience. I work for a local government agency. ex recent successful project (specifics left out): 1. have local "stores" upload their data to our server on a daily basis. 2. have a script that parses through that data and imports it into specific fields/tables into another database. 3. developed webpage to search/display that info. 4. local "stores" are automagically emailed when X amount of time has passed between uploads. 5. stores are shown upload history upon login (i.e., date of last upload, number of items uploaded, etc...).
