Description

Hi,

I have installed a Magento live search extension at <a href="http://www.diamond-parfum.de">my website</a>.

Here is the page of the extension:

I want to customize this extension. When user is searching for any word, I want that the search extension also search in our customer reviews of products and in the product description, and show the product when the word is found in the product review or description.

I asked the company who did these extension. They gave me this reply:

Livesearch extension is using these two files:

/app/code/local/Paytype/Livesearch/Block/Livesearch.php
This file generate the results that you can see on http://yourdomain.com/catalogsearch/ajax/suggest/?q=[anyquerystring]

To get the productCollection (function _getProductCollection()), it uses the magento builtin model Mage::getSingleton('catalogsearch/advanced') filtering by the query text. So, perhaps you'd have to develop a system searching on product reviews here and mix both ProductCollections.

/app/design/frontend/default/[yourtheme]/paytype/livesearch/form.mini.phtml
This template adapts these results using Ajax.

Have a look at my work www.mytraining.net, It is magento site and I wrote the ajax script for the Ajax search it is quick job for me but actual time depends on the third party code you are using and I can give you better coding to inplement it than the one you bought. The price you think might be a little expensive but I will work on the weekend and that is why I need $250 but if it is really easy for me I will make it $200 for you.
