Description

We need a solution for batch importing our category structure into Magento version 1.3.2. We have more than 9000 categories to import. I have the category info stored in a MYSQL table and I can provide a CSV file of the data in whatever format we need. The task here is to provide us with a method to batch import these categories to our internal Magento development server and our live website. The completed project deliverables may be a Magento extension, a well documented process that we can follow easily, or possibly an instruction set of hacks to the core code. We have read and attempted the instructions at http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/how-to/how_to_import_category_structure_with_products_using_dataflow, but this did not seem to work. You may be able to just debug that method.

Deliverables: a Magento extension -OR- a well documented process that we can follow easily -OR- possibly an instruction set of hacks to the core code.

it can be specialized import script (for categories). or for both categories and products ( with proper categories selection and input many aditional data, costs more). regards
