Description:	System should be done in php with mysql DB. (The description below is getting errors because I input Japanese characters. Please see uploaded file for description without language error) • ❑ ABOUTUS.JP SPEC SECTION 1 Aboutus.jp General Overview • ❑ This system will closely resemble aboutus.org. This system I want will also be built on Mediawiki. The install will require the Japanese language install version of Mediawiki, NOT English. In this first vesion, I do not have graphics, but I would like the skeleton of the system to closely resemble the current aboutus.org version with main content in the center, vertical sections on both sides for menu and graphics. ▼ ❑ A search window on the top of the page, like aboutus.org will be required. • ❑ If a specific domain is searched and is in my aboutus.jp system, the page will be displayed • ❑ If the domain is searched and the domain is not in my system, a whois search will be attempted. If the domain is registered, a page will be created (See below in section on what should be created). If the domain is not registered, an error message will be displayed saying this domain does not exist, thus cannot create the page. • ❑ If someone searchs on a keyword rather than a domain, all domains containing that keyword need to be displayed in the result. Below that search result should be the normal wiki search results. • ❑ VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: currently the aboutus.org system does NOT handle Japanese domains. Thry try searching やる.jp in aboutus.org. It says that it cannot find any results. Normally in aboutus.org if the system cannot find a domain in it's local DB, it does a whois search. If the domain exists, it says it is now creating a page for that domain. • ❑ NOTE: Often Japanese domain links in aboutus.org are displayed in punycode (xn-- format). This should never be the case in my system. The Japanese domains always have to be displayed in Japanese characters, not punycode. SECTION 2 Information to be displayed on each page (and description of scripts of how they should be generated) • ❑ Like aboutus.org, a thumb-nail shot of the site needs to be displayed. You need to make a srcipt to go and grab this thumnail and display it. Like aboutus.org, if you press on the thumbnail it links to the site • ❑ "Title" This should scraped from the source on their page • ❑ "Description": Pulled from page source ▼ ❑ "Company" This will be the title of this section • ❑ 商号 Sub-catagory within the "Company" section • ❑ 設立 Sub-catagory within the "Company" section • ❑ 資本金 Sub-catagory within the "Company" section • ❑ 本社所在地 Sub-catagory within the "Company" section • ❑ 従業員数 Sub-catagory within the "Company" section • ❑ 年間売上高 Sub-catagory within the "Company" section • ❑ 投資家情報 Sub-catagory within the "Company" section ▼ ❑ "Contact Information" When a domain is added to this system, a whois search is performed and this information is added to this section • ❑ Address: pulled from whois • ❑ Phone number: pulled from whois • ❑ email: pulled from whois • ❑ Map to their office: A map from google maps needs to be generated and put into this section. The address in this section can be used. • ❑ "Related sites" This title should be placed, but nothing has to be added here • ❑ "Category" I will have a master category page within my aboutus.jp site. There will be many catagories here. When a domain is added to aboutus.jp, the text in the "title" and "description" will be crossed checked with the words in my master category page. For example, if the title of a web-site says "We are a great company offering many services such as domain names and web-hosting." then this text would be cross checked with the words in my "category" section. If for example I have the categories "domains" and "web-hosting" in my master category page, then on this web-site description page the categories "domains" and "web-hosting" would be displayed. Like aboutus.org, if a category is ever pressed, all sites having that category will be displayed. SECTION 3 Page generation criteria ▼ ❑ If a domain is searched in aboutus.jp and the domain is not in my system, a whois search is done. Domain addition in my system will be handled differently than aboutus.org. See below for specific handling details. This will be broken up by extension and by language. Basically, if the domain is a .jp, it can be added to my system regardless of language. If the domain is not a .jp domain name ONLY websites in Japanese can be added to my system. • ❑ If the domain is a .jp domain name, do a whois search. If the domain is registered, add the domain to my system auto-creating a formatted page (defined in section 2) • ❑ If the domain is not a registered non-.jp domain name, a script will have to check for content language in the header of the source code. If it is a Japanese page (I think it is shift-jis, jis, euc, ISO-2022-JP, jp, etc. then a page will be created. If it appears that the language is NOT Japanese, an error will be displayed saying that we do not think this page is in Japanese, thus cannot be added to our system. It should also say that if you think this is not correct (in other words the page is in Japanese) it should say "please contact us if you think this not correct". Section 4: Other notes • ❑ Catagory page. There needs to be a link on the left menu of the page titled "Categories". When pressed, a page will be displayed showing all categories in the system. This page can only be modified by the administrator of this system.
