Description

I require an RSS XML parser built for a Stock Market Website. The Parser would extract approximately 5 fields(that is a guess)from a multi-field streaming XML feed from http://www.newswire.ca

The fields, I am told, to make this work are, but are not limited to:

Stock Symbol
Headline
DateTime
Unique ID Number

I have a secure PHP file that is presently running on a delayed feed from the same company and is presenting delayed data.

The job is:
1) To parse the feed to so that the only News that is kept fits the field criteria.
2) To ensure the parsed retained news is saved, in a database constructed by you(mysql). The remainder of the news that does not fit the criteria is junked and does not occupy and part of harddrive allocation on the server.
3) To parse and present the News to the end user in the least possible time(this is extremely important).
4) To present this data from a secure PHP file in the format Date/Time, stock symbol, Headline.
This page is to have a "Search Symbol Entry" window as part of it.
5) To automatically update the page as soon as the next piece of parsed News appears.
6) To allow the end user to view this auto updated secure page and to have the end user able to click the Headline and see the whole news release in a second page.
7) To have the "newest news" appear on the top line and the page scroll down as the news becomes older and, the newer news appears at the top.
8) To store all news releases that fit the parsing criteria on the server for future reference.
9) To clear the News page automatically of all previous day news (0600-1600) at 0600 the next morning, retaining all news from 1600 the previous day to 0600 the following morning.
10) To have the search described in number 4 above,"search on the stock symbol and extract all headlines on that symbol" on a second page. Clicking the headline, brings up the complete News Release on the same page.

Environment

The website is located on a hosted server that is in a Linux Environment.
The site has secure settings and logins for members.
Secure PHP files have been created for the present newswire feed
The site is hosted on a server that is fitted with a CPanel
