Description

We are looking for an experienced Joomla / PHP Programer to create a new extension / admin component that would create the ability for the admin to send messages to registered users via SMS text messaging.

We have added a field for cell phone numbers (10 digits) as well as a check box that the user can select if they wish to receive the text messages. Additionally, we have created a component that gives the admin the ability to create "groups". Each user selects a group during the registration process.

The admin would have a page similar to the Mass Mail component where they could select a single group (or "send to all") to send the text messages, a text area (with character counter) and a send or cancel button.

The configuration for the admin would need to include the admins phone number (for replies).

We want this to be very easy to operate, very intuitive.

Please provide an outline or brief description of how you would create this Extension.

This is for use in the US, with US cell carriers.

Dutch Developer ready to start. I have done a similar SMS application for joomla a while ago where people can send SMS to a Joomla website and have their profile displayed along with the text message.
