Description

Hi guys,
I'm working on a web application and I need some help. What I need is a form with two fields, one field for the users current "location" and a second field will be for the users to enter their desired "destination". Next to the form, I want to have a google map. Once the user fills in the fields and submits the form, the google map will update and show markers of the users location and destination. I will also need the "miles" between the location and destination to be returned, so that I can do a calculations with it later in PHP.

I could probably use the code from the second example, but it violates Google Maps terms of service which states that Google Maps applications must display an actual map

Hi, I just created similar script few days ago ( the only difference was that was for company which need to calculate distance and time needed to travel through 3 different point locations: A -> B -> C -> A (it also work for 2 point location, calculating distance and time for: A -> B -> A) here is a demo - http://m1007.com/gmap - all calculations are made in javascript ).
