We need a textcounter like this: http://javascript.internet.com/forms/limit-textarea.html
for the rtehtmlarea of the backend of the cms TYPO3.

We need an extension for TYPO3, which extend the sysext rtehtmlarea with a textcounter as a wizard.
It should be confugurable over the tca.php with parameters:
- maxLength
- allowOverrun (color of text changes)

Attention: This sounds more easy as it is. The former guy, who accepted my project wasn´t able to do it!!
