Description

Smarty templates for the product details page in our shopping cart (x-cart) order item selection and add-to-cart functionality as follows:

1. Show product image thumbnail
2. Show product description text
3. Show SKU, weight, price information
4. Select options from a list
5. Select quantity to order
6. Click "Add to Cart"

Event No. 6 passes the data from the selections to the cart, including the quantity ordered and the options selected.

We have moved Nos. 2 & 4 to a spry tabbed presentation in which all works fine EXCEPT the option selection is not passed to the cart.

It appears that javascript variables are undefined or lost to the add-to-cart array passed to the cart when the option selection process is moved from preceeding the quantity selection to following the quantity selection in the code for the page.

We have a fully functioning test installation installed separately from the live site where development work is done. The original product detail template and the customized product detail template (with the tabbed presentation) are both accessible on the test installation. Both the original and the customized template work fine except for the passing of the options when using the customized version.

The project is to correct the javascript and/or smarty code on the customized product detail page to enable passing the product options to the shopping cart in the customized template as is done in the original, non-customized template.

If desired, both product detail templates are available for upload to bidders on the project for review before finalizing a bid price.
