Bid On This Project

Description

I need a fairly simple website designed. I've attached an image of how I would like the overall layout to look. I just need the template, the coding and some scripts installed, I can fill in the content myself. I have the domain and the hosting services secured. I am looking for real clean code and CSS that conforms to W3C standards.

I will leave the bidding open for 5 days so please read the "information I need from you" section carefully before you bid.

Some specific details regarding the different frames in the attached jpg:

Overall style:
The 1024 px outer frame of the site should be rectangular while the textboxes on the inner pages should be rounded rectangles. I would like the background image for the entire website behind the main frame to be a small image tiled. For font, I would like to see arial/helvectica. The color scheme I would like to go with is Red (D0304A), Blue (003166), Ivory (E9E6D7), and Grey (4B535E). These colors aren't exact, but should give you something to draw on.

Header:
120 px high and 1024 px wide overall with a 224px wide inner textbox (or maybe a layer?) on the right side. This inner textbox will have a Paypal donation box in it.

Menu:
224px wide
Vertical menu that needs 10 separate items/categories to start and also needs the flexibility to add or delete categories. There will be no subcategories so I don't need a fancy menu. Text with interesting bullets should be fine.
I would also like to add a text box or layer in this frame under the menu to be used with Google Adwords.

Footer:
1024 px wide and 80 px high. This will need a centred banner script for 468x60 jpg banners.

Main page frame:
The inner frame will need a very simple one frame bulletin board feature where users can post messages anonymously without logging in (there will be no registered users on the site). Some interesting examples are blog comments, customer reviews, online confessionals, etc. I am thinking maybe this should be an iFrame since I will need this feature mirrored on a subdomain (details below).

The bulletin board will display the 20 newest posts and it must save all of the posts to a database. I will need the ability to moderate the posts from the back end - this means the ability to delete specific posts and ban IPs if necessary.

Right beside the bulletin board will be the posting box. The posting box for the bulletin board will need three fields:
1. A name field (It should default post with the name "user" if no name is entered.)
2. A subject field.
3. A comment field
It will also need some form of random letter image verification to make sure bots do not post autogenerated nonsense. I am open to suggestions on this.
Finally, it will need a submit button to post the message.
I would like each post numbered (for easy moderation) and I would like html and hyperlinks to be disabled for posting.

Below the bulletin board will be another text box with a centred banner script for 468x60 jpg banners.

Below that will be two more separate text boxes with variable heights

Below that will be a frame for custom Google Maps API.

Below that will be another text box.

Inner pages:
The nine inner pages will be basically large text boxes for html and tables, nothing fancy.
One page will need a form with four fields that sends the data to me in an email when submitted.
I will also need the FancyZoom script installed (http://www.cabel.name/2008/02/fancyzoom-10.html)

A subdomain:
A simple one page html subdomain for mobile users will be necessary that mirrors only the bulletin board feature. That is why I am thinking the bulletin board should be an iFrame so it will show up simultaneously in both the main page and the subdomain.

Before placing a bid, here is what I'll need from you in a PM accompanying your bid:

- Explain how you propose to go about designing this template (Does it make sense? Have I left anything out?)
- List what languages you'll code in (php, CSS, xhtml, etc.)
- List what you'll need from me to build the template and host the website (i.e.: server info, databases, ftp access, etc.)
- Let me know specifically what you will use for the bulletin board script/program
- Show me some examples of other sites you've built. Not your entire portfolio, but some that would be similar to this project.

I've provided a pretty general overview of how I would like this website to look, but I am flexible and open to creative suggestions. Feel free to send a jpg of a mockup in your PM.

Thank you for reading if you made it this far!
