Description
This project is about building a PHP application with a connection to a MySQL database. The purpose of the application is to generate quotes, place and track orders for products that are dedicated and not something that is off-the-shelf (like computers and the like).The application will have 2 main parts the administrators and the users.
The users will be able to register and download some files from the server, files which will be then copied to their computer. Here I need a specific function, before he file is copied onto the users computer I need a tool to compare the file the user downloads (txt file) with the file we offer on the server (txt file) and then the PHP application will have to offer the best file or somehow annotate the file on the users computer.
The user will have to go trough a e-mail verification process like simple registration and confirm your e-mail.
All the e-mail templates we use for the users will be very simple and reduced to a few lines of information but they will be HTML style.
The user can then start quoting with the option to do it in 2 ways: a form quote or by uploading some txt files from their computer and the PHP application will read the data inside and give a quote back.
THE TXT FILES CONTAIN THE INFORMATION THAT NEEDS TO BE READ IN THE SAME FORMAT AND IN THE SAME LOCATION INSIDE THE DOCUMENT.
If the user places the order we will have 2 payment options: paypal and 2 form fields payment system (explanation will be given later on this option).
And once the order is placed the PHP application will offer the option to track the order and see the progress including delivery tracking number.
The admin:
- will have access to the users add/remove/ban
- can send notification to each individual user or to all and can manage the notification delete/add/change
- can set the environment (template for each user) with the user company logo and colors (the template will be the same just the css will change and the administrators should be able to set a specific css file to a user account
- will be able to receive the and quote to the user in real time (explained later on)
- will be able to have the same view as the user with just the options to modify things like (add invoice, add shipping tracking number, change the status of the order and so on)
The application in not really but it requires some special functionality.
We have a template already. There are other details that will be posted on the clarification board once we see EOI.
The application needs to be secure and clean code with some forms of CAPTCHA implemented.
Target pay for this is 250$ - 300$. Also with this project comes 2 months of support for which we will pay you 50$/month to do changes and mods as we see fit and you will have to provide as part of your job support to the code in case we find issues with the code for another 2 months after the support months ended.
