We're trying to devise a way to manage quicklinks in Joomla. The
quicklinks would look very similar to those on our existing (non-joomla)
site .. www.genevange.com

I think what it would need is some sort of Front End (and back end?)
component that would allow you to create quicklinks by uploading a photo (or picking from pre-existing uploaded images), attaching a title and some text.. and then connecting it to either static or non-static pages.

The component would also have to allow you to Select which pages you
wanted the quicklinks to appear on. So, for example.. the homepage
might just have 3 quicklinks... and the Contact Us page might have 2
completely different quicklinks. Quiclinks would vary from page to page.

I think this could be achieved by having the administrator visit a
section of the component that listed every single menu item on the
website. The admin would then need to select the menu item that they
wanted to assign quicklinks to, and then drag and drop any of their
created quicklinks on to that page. Upon saving this change.. their
website would be updated with the correct quicklinks in place.
