Description:	I am using two products; websites that run on PHP and Icontact.com (take a free trial and create webform to understand our needs). 1. In Icontact.com you can create a form. That form has fields that get passed on. I would like to create a custom fields here called Advertising, Cost, From, Engine and Avenue. These 5 variables will be hidden in the form. Now onto the Javascript or PHP code. 2. What we want is a JavaScript or PHP code that is installed on every page. That code does: a. When the page loads, it looks for the referring URL and variables. The variable names we would like to be able to change in the javascript. This way we could change what we were looking for in the URL. So if we have index.php?dog=ABC or index.php?cat=ABC we could change the variable name in the javascript so it would grab the ABC using either cat or dog, depending what we select. b. Once the URL and the 4 other variables are grabbed, it holds the information via a cookie and session variable (incase cookies are off) and passes them off to the form, which will pass the data on when submitted. 3. We take the data stored in the PHP or Javascript and pass it into the hidden fields of the form. This way when the form is submitted, the alert passes the data along. Our overall objective is to be able to track marketing using masking, domain forwarding or simply a link from another site. We want the URL of the referring site to be grabbed when it comes from another site or when it is masked or forwarded. The variables should remember the last one captured. So if they go to two marketing items that both have strings in their links, the last one is the one we want to grab. The cookies should expire in 365 days. Please Ask Questions!
