Description

I have a php/smarty shopping cart application that must launch a form in a popup window from within product detail pages. The code successfully does that, and the window with the form appears with the following result:

http://www.example.com/skin1/contact_form_a.html?17390

The value “17390” is a product code “productid” and is successfully passed to the popup window.

Calling FormMail.pl the popup form runs fine and results in an email as intended. It does NOT however pass the “17390” value on to the subject line of the email sent when the form is submitted. I need replacement code in the popup. The following snippet does NOT work:

I also would like the form to validate the submittal before sending by checking for required elements, i.e. a name and valid email address.

The popup window can launch as .html or as .php so long as the appearance of the existing form is unchanged.

http://www.example.com/skin1/contact_form_a.html?Productid=17390 => if this is the URL, echo $_REQUEST['productid']; should do it. I can use JavaScript for client side form validation.
