Description

I have a network support company. I host my website in IIS7 on a Server 2008 machine. I have created service plans for our managed services. I have a price menu and description of the services already. I want to allow my prospects to go to a page on my website and enter the pertinent information about their network and systems in order to calculate a total monthly fee.

So, heres what I need:

1. The ability to change prices (in other words, not hard coded) - I can install some database if needed. I would really like to avoid installing the full version of SQL as the maintenance concerns me. Yes, I know I do that for a living but as the saying goes, "why is it the cobler's kids never have any shoes?"

2. If a database is needed then I would like to be able to store the plan descrition in a table too so that can be more easily changed.

3. If a database is required then I would need a simple control panel page that would allow a non-technical employee to make periodic changes to product description and pricing.

4. I personally would rather see you use an "include" sheet with that info on it than a database but I can be persuaded differently.

More Details: The traffic to this would be *very* light. Probably no more than 30 uses per month. My site runs some flash already if that matters. I like to do my editing with Microsoft Expression Web since I get that for free (my macromedia products are outdated or trial versions)

How it would work for the end user: They would see a list questioned descriptions on the left maybe such as "Number of Workstations?" and "Number of Servers?" and then next to each of these would be a form field to enter a number. Then there would be three columns to the right of that where it would calculate the line total based on the three different levels of service plan we offer. Ultimately, each column would arrive at a Total Monthly for the services chosen and calculated.

There are 3 different plan levels and about 20 different products in the levels. No difficult math, just a multiply, add, subtract and divide.

I WILL INSTALL SQL 2008 - STANDARD ON MY NETWORK.
I must caution you though that I am a windows System Engineer ...NOT a database administrator. I have to look up just about every SQL command I ever need to use. I can *fumble* my way through proper setup but your patience would be begged with proper sa account access, etc. I *have* done this before and wrote my own PHP scripts that connected, pulled and updated data from a MySQL but that was a few years ago.

ALSO NOTE: I added on the project clarification board that I want the calculations to occur either onblur or onkeyup.
